The spouse is so in loved with her current walking shoes that even though she needs insoles to help her walk properly, she refused to change it.  Recently, I have been looking at getting some Vasque Boots  for hiking and saw some walking shoes that looks similar to the current walking shoes that the spouse has – so I’m going ahead to get this for her. That way she can stop wasting all her money on buying more and more insoles.   They come in a few different colors and the best part of it is you can pay by paypal – I loved paying by paypal – so much easier than to use your credit card and for woman like the spouse who doesn’t like using her credit card online – this is the only way to go.

Definitely one of the coolest tub that I’ve seen thus far and I would love one if I had about € 4.950  – made in Netherlands – they do ship to everywhere around the world but if you were in Netherlands – shipping cost is really low.  With this Dutch Tub – you can have a hot dip anywhere you want – in the mountains – in your backyard or a BBQ at your friends’ .  Weighing only 75Kg – one can carry it on top of your car and transport it wherever you want. A very interesting concept how it works – just with fire and wood but since it is made in Netherlands – I think the design and everything should be of superior quality and if you are not using it – you can definitely leave it outdoors with a spa cover on and you are all set.  Check out the video below for a more info.

Heavy duty boxes are hard to come by, so we use this corrugated box for all our packing needs now.  This heavy duty box can pack just about anything and it doesn’t give up on you and since we do ship out a lot of things back to Asia, it’s a good to know that nothing is going to go missing during transit.   Something can be shipped using ordinary boxes but if it has to do with something a customer ordered or things traveling a certain distant, we try not to take any risk with them.   A wee bit more expensive but definitely worth it since the goods are way too expensive to replace if they get damage.

I wouldn’t mind having a foldable speaker but definitely wouldn’t carry it for a walk – but would be useful when I need it while watching something on my laptop while at work. An interesting design from Designaffairs Studio – this FYLM speaker is foldable and can be use in almost all musical devices.  You can fit it in your pocket or use it as a bookmark.  Don’t know the price yet – but I don’t supposed it would go cheap though.

When the guys get together to celebrate a birth of a son – they get the must have cigars from http://www.famous-smoke.com for party favors.  I collect them whenever I am invited for these parties and put them in my special cigar case.   Some ladies would love to enjoy some cigars too and they are definitely welcome to it.  I think it’s in our culture to give out cigars for special celebration and I think when my father turn 70, I’m going to be giving out cigars too for his birthday party.  And now that I know where to get the at a really good price, I most definitely get them for my dad’s party.

We would like to think that we are good to the environment and whenever I come across a gadget that allows me to save the environment and money – I’m all for it.   This is a water downspout diverter for rain barrel , allowing you to collect rain water quickly and effortlessly into a covered rain barrel for less than $40.   I like that you don’t have to watch over the water barrel and worry about it overflowing because the diverter will let water flow back into the normal gutter downspout until you are ready to change or empty the water barrel. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to set up the smart device and rain water saved can be use to water your garden or wash the patio deck and many other things.

I never buy console games for my nephews or nieces even though I own my own video and entertainment store.  Why?  because kids these days have too many video games and movies – and for my own kid – I want to buy something that they can get their brains working not just sit and swear and try to kill someone.  So I get things that I know will enriched their mind – their knowledge – I go for brain teasers and puzzles – call me crazy – but I only buy these and story books even for my best friends’ kids.   I think it’s a great thing to do – instead of giving them more electronic games – after all, you don’t see smart people like Steve Jobs playing electronic games nor watch movies after movies right?  These days kids have every electronic games you can think of – and a gift for a smart kid has to be something they can use their brains not just mindless shooting – or smashing something.  I bet you don’t know what the above is for ?  see – I teased your brains.

July 27 – Cyndi Lauper will be playing in concert at the Casino in Halifax and I’m dying to see her in action.  We all know that her concerts are sold out all the time, so this time I’m buying the tickets as soon as they go on sale – which is today – so for those who are fans of Cyndi Lauper, hurry up and buy the tickets already.  Tickets are on sale at $95 – which means that you have to go in as soon as the door opens at 7.15pm to get good seats.  I’m sure there will be some new songs and some old songs played during the concert and I’m also waiting to see if they have the newest EVH Guitars with them and of course to see what kind of fashion wear Cyndi Lauper brings with her this time for her concert in Halifax.  I’m pretty excited to go for the concert  this summer!
