We love all the colorful network cable that we had bought for our home - that way - we know exactly which one they are for and if we need to move things around - it would be so easy for us to put it back together again. The spouse loves all his gaming systems and of course the HDTV also and the amp - so you can imagine - all the cables we have from the CAT 5 to the HDMI cables and the crossover cables - and several network cables for the computer hookups for the xbox 360 system. Yes! a real mess if you ask me but with the colored cables - do help with organizing.

The kid and the spouse had been playing this game a lot of late - and yes! it’s a pretty cool game - the kid was all excited telling our customer about it - and the customer was like in his late 50s - it was a funny sight.
When you first start up the game, your only option will be to hit up the main Story mode. The first three levels (which are the same that were featured in the beta, if you played that) serve as good tutorials for how to play the game. In terms of mechanics, this is about as pure and basic a control setup as you can get. The X button jumps, R1 grabs objects, and that’s about it. If you grab a jetpack, you can either shake the controller or tap one of the face buttons to remove it, but that ends your control mechanics (outside of the editor, of course).
While that sounds simple, and it is, it’s the level design that makes the whole Story progression the fantastic experience that it is. The first set of levels is fairly easy and will look familiar to anyone who’s followed the game at all. The cool thing though is that every other level in the game (of which there are more than 20 “main” levels) is completely unique. Each themed area has three main stages, and while those generally use a lot of the same art assets and look very similar, what you’re doing there in each individual area is very different. The jungle areas have you swinging from monkeys, climbing giraffes and riding on buffaloes. The Metropolis stages have you navigate sewers, hop between subway cars and drag race. There’s a wild west set of levels that rely on plenty of explosives and mine cart rides, and every other section is just as varied (if not more so) than these. Give the game a try with your kids - i’m sure they will enjoy it as much as ours did.
While we all know what to get the girlfriends or spouse for birthdays and have many velentine’s day ideas what about special surprises just because? Many people who are together faileto do special things for the spouse because they think that there isn’t a need to and it’s a waste of money. But wait a minute, special surprises need not be expensive - one need not get a diamond earrings or ring for the spouse. Some nice flowers - no need for expensive ones - just a few stalks of roses - would be great and she would definitely love them.
But what about the ladies? the wives? what about your surprises for your man? If he likes wine - a nice bottle of wine would be nice. Or if he is into gaming - ebay would be somewhere to look for good buys - or a used game store - like ours - now that would be a nice idea too - don’t need to spend so much - yet you can surprise the man you love. Remember now - special surprises need not be on special day - everyday can be special and they need not be expensive gifts - it’s the thought that counts.

Another gift to get the men who love their gadgets - this time the cell phone of course! after all, how can one resist a new cell phone right? this time he wants an iphone for Christmas he said. So if you can’t afford to get him a real cell phone - you can get this replica soap specially made for man. Scented and made from glycerin - looks pretty real eh. I wonder if they can make a soap shaped an iphone charger or a docking machine. That would be pretty awesome don’t you think? Even if it doesn’t really look like a real iphone - I’m sure he would be tickled don’t you think?

Yes! we own a PS3 and the spouse would be really happy to know that there is a firmware update for all PS3 owners to play Blu-ray 3D films! woohoo!! The update was released a few days ago and when you download v3.50, you can watch blu-ray 3D films on your PS3 consoles but of course you need to have a 3D TV.
However, Blu-ray 3D playback is just one component in the upgrade. In addition, Sony has added a feature that allows game developers to integrate Facebook into their titles. According to Sony, supported games will let people “access public information–including user name, profile, uploaded photos, and friends list–to enhance their gameplay experience.” The company didn’t say which titles support the new offering.
The PlayStation 3’s firmware version 3.50 also includes a “grief reporting function.” According to Sony, people can now send messages directly to the company from their XrossMediaBar (XMB) about any “inappropriate messages they receive from other PlayStation Network users.” So what are you waiting for ? go and download the firmware.

So I read somewhere that there may be new titles for Halo gamers every year? wow!! really? if that is true - will the game be repetitive? According to a recent interview with Microsoft Game Studios VP with ICGN - they planned to increase the frequency with which new Halo games goes on the store shelves.
“There’s no explicit strategy that says we’re to ship a Halo game every year,” Spencer told the publication. “I will say I think one Halo game every three years, which was kind of our old cadence, is probably not frequent enough.”
The VP said that waiting too long for update could hart the franchise. And that instead of having new games only every two years - they are trying something different. So gamers of Halo - you should be happy now - not every year - but sooner than expected.

Come 1st November - xbox gamers be prepared to pay more for your live subscription. From your regular $50 - you will have to pay up to $60 then. The prices of one- and six-month subscriptions will also increase, as will certain subscription plans in Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
The fee increase comes as “no surprise” to Electronic Entertainment Design and Research analyst Jesse Divnich.
“When originally launched in 2002, a Gold subscription cost the same as an AAA video game, ($50)” he said in an email. “When taking into account for inflation… and the additional services available to Gold subscribers in 2010, such as ESPN, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Last.fm and Video Kinect, a $10 price increase still represents an incredible value to consumers.”

A pretty funny name but well used and well meaning - because this is definitely the last privately owned in the city - meaning - not owned by the BIG BOYS!!! who wants to shop at Walmart or Gamestop or EB games !! i support the local store - damn with Walmart!! they killed the small stores - where they are more personalized and knows more about games than the customer service staff manning the counter. When you go to Walmart or Superstore - you know you won’t be getting any info from these guys - but don’t get me wrong - don’t blame the poor guys/gals - because how would they know about the games or any cables when they are no gamer themselves.

The Last Gamestore is owned by a young entrepreneur by the name of Adam Perry. Adam has been in this business for more than 10 yrs and is a very friendly fella who definitely knows his stuff. Not only is he into the newest games - he is also into the retro stuff.

Look at his personal collection of figurines!

Check out the old style arcade games that he has right in front of his store. Even though we own our own store - he has gotta be one of the coolest or is it the last coolest store besides our own?

Remember Mario from your Nintendo games? Yes! that one - and doesn’t these lamps remind you of Mario from your Super Mario games? I thought they were pretty cute and if i can indentify with them - i’m sure your girlfriends wouldn’t mind having it in your room as well. At only $12 - I bought two online from Gadget.brando.com. Check it out yourself - they are really cute.

Announced at E3 this year is the latest version of the Xbox 360. It’s a bit smaller, a lot quieter and now it has the hard drive inside the system just like the PS3. I doubt Microsoft will let you upgrade it like Sony does though, they’re too damn greedy, but since the system comes with a 250gb drive it’s not a big deal for most people.
Even though people are calling it a slim edition it’s still bigger than a stack of wedding napkins and still weighs about the same as the older style 360. Personally I don’t care WHAT it looks like as long as they’ve fixed the damn red ring of death! With over 5 years of development time I sure hope they’ve made some good improvements.
