High School Class Rings

By | March 31, 2012

Everyone is getting their order in for their high school class rings and the cousins had some design class ring that they want to buy this year.   I don’t remember buying class rings during high school except for our last year of school – but now they have a class ring for every class you are in for high school.  I guess it’s not a bad idea if you had an exceptionally good year – and I think they do some fund raising with the class rings as well if I am not wrong – like get a certain percentage of it for their school depending on the volume bought. I bought my class ring when I was done college and university – the one for my university one was especially memorable since it reminded me of my accomplishment when I was in the university and finished it.   So if my kid goes to high school in the future – I would get her one too.

Hey Luggages

By | March 29, 2012

Love the colors of Hey luggage plus loved the wheels.  I also loved that there is a specific place to keep your laptop and of course, as you can see – they are really sturdy.  Prices ranges from $70 right up to $240 for the set.  Now if you are going for a short weekend or an overnight trip – one is great but if you are going for a week – or more than I would have to advice you to bring more than one luggage.  The interior really don’t look like it can hold a lot – and for the women at home – it’s definitely a no- no.  But if you buy them from FAB.com today – they are on sale – alternatively – you can check out Heys.ca – there is a Disney luggage for kid that i’m eying on for only $49/

The X-Case is one of the world’s lightest carry-ons, and is the maximum allowable carry-on size for most airlines. Zipping all the way around offers plenty of room inside, and the single-tube push-button telescoping handle and in-line wheels make this bag an easy rider. A coordinating fully-lined interior has cross straps, a built-in divider and mesh pocket to hold contents in place and reduce wrinkling.

Honda Shadow Spirit

By | March 28, 2012

Found online for sale a 2006 750 Honda Shadow Spirit and fell in love with it.  Looks like in perfect condition and also well taken care of – and it’s going for $5300 – don’t know if it is negotiable or not.  Would love to buy it to go with the Alpinestars Jacket that the spouse had given me for Christmas if I didn’t have to do major renovation at home this year.  But for those out there who is thinking of getting a bike for this spring/summer – this is the one I would go for.  Many modifications done as you can see – and I loved the low seat because it makes it easy to ride on.  The bike has the Hardchrome exhaust and is very lightweight – a biker’s dream bike – or mine at least.

Pink Beanbag Chair

By | March 25, 2012

We were looking for a pink beanbag last month but couldn’t find one that we liked for the kid.  Well, not until we saw this on FAB for $161.  We loved the color and of course the arm rest.  I know my kid would love it but the spouse wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money – but I’m buying it anyway – after all, didn’t someone say – you pay for what you get?  The pink bean bag chair is by Present Time.  Check out Fab.com for this deal – the chair original cost is $277.

And while you are over there – check out this cute looking tree coat hanger – reminds you of Jack and the beanstalk doesn’t it and it’s really cheap – only at $48! gotta get it now.

High School In Canada

By | March 20, 2012

While education is free in Canada, there is a lot of fund raising going on all year round, not only for class trips but also for things like lab ovens and other equipments for the students.   My daughter who is only in Grade 2 had to raise funds for class projectors and other things for the school, so when she goes to high school, I figured they would be asked to raise money for iPads and more equipments. So for those who thinks that migrating to Canada is the best thing – you might want to think of the time you will have to spare for fund raising for your kid’s school.  Of course, you can argue and say, no I just won’t participate – but really?  can you as a responsible parent not do anything ?  I can’t !  and neither would the spouse, so even though my kid isn’t in high school yet, we are still giving money to the high school by donating gifts so that they can auction it off.

All White Star Wars Kinect Bundle

By | March 18, 2012

For those who are into the all white all star wars kinect bundle – it’s out on sale right now. They say it’s limited edition but I’ve seen it all over town.  The bundle is for sale everywhere except Europe and Brazil.  With a 320gig hard drive – you will probably have to pay close to $500 after taxes.  I do like the white kinect sensor though – so if someone comes in and sell it later – I should keep it for myself.

Braun Alarm Clock

By | March 14, 2012

I haven’t heard of a Braun Alarm Clock before, so it is interesting to see it on sale on the internet for like $32.  We’ve all heard of Braun shaving stuff – and this alarm clock is German made, can’t say it is of any special design or detail, except that it is two colored here.  And I just learned that these Braun Alarm clocks are only a handful for sale and they are supposedly for traveling.  But don’t tell your mom to move out once you get them afterall, an alarm clock can never replaced your mom eh.  Check out Fab for the sale.

Michael Kors Top Zip Handbag

By | March 12, 2012

While we are on handbag craze of late, I might as well show you another that the wife is eying on – a Michael Kors one – but this time at least it is a soft pebbled embossed patent leather one.  Love the color, at least it was better than the last one she was thinking of buying but this cost twice as much at $228 at Zappo.com – and since it is free shipping, I guess it is a good deal.  Love that when you shop at Michael Kors – you can return it if it doesn’t suit you when it arrives.

Marc Jacobs Tote On Sale

By | March 10, 2012

While I cannot see any beauty in this handbag, the wife wants to buy it because it’s on sale and at only $122 – so she said and she can’t resist it.  If it was any prettier, I so can understand it but this is very ugly but she is a woman and what do I know about fashion and handbags right.  Made of printed nylon – no wonder it is so cheap but hey! if she wants it – don’t stop her.

Wall Lights With A Difference

By | March 7, 2012

Love this wall light fixture because I’m always on a look out for things to decorate our home – and this is quite the unique piece I have to say.  I’ve always had a thing for crystal – I think they are so elegant and they are so pretty to look at.  Crystals are good for feng shui too – therefore, I fell in love with this piece as soon as I laid eye on it. At $239 – I think it’s a good buy – and it’s free shipping too – so definitely a bonus – because we all know that shipping can cost an arm and a leg.
