Owning a small business is no easy feat – not only do you need to have money for all your products and inventory – you need to have good business acumen. And one of the things I had been meaning do is get an online data backup for the store – now that would definitely be a lot easier for us – in the future. The software isn’t expensive at all – and it would definitely make your small business a lot more efficient and no more worries about losing important information. From backing up your music, photos, documents and spreadsheets – great for home user and better for small business owners.
So we’ve just heard that there will be a Hello Kitty themed park in China in 2014 and I think it’s a very smart idea – after all China’s population is one of the largest in the world – why would the people who owns the rights to Hello Kitty not want to make their money wherever they can right? The amusement park will be in the city of Anji in east China’s Zhejiang province – I’m wondering why they didn’t choose sites like Beijing or even Shanghai eh. The Hello Kitty themed park project will cost an approximate $215 millions – now if only they would come to CAnada.
My mom was a midwife before she retired and like any LPN she enjoyed her work tremendously even though it was hard work. Back home, she didn’t have a choice but to work for a government aided hospital but these day with a nursing degree, a LPN can go anywhere around the world and find a job in the health care industry. Back then there were no online nursing degree where one can upgrade yourself and get a degree in nursing – people are so lucky now – they can do that while working without the pressure of going into a classroom. I like the idea – don’t you? But of course, like any online studies, you have to have some ambition and lots of discipline – coz’ its very easy to lose track and become lazy. But no one should have any excuses not to be able to upgrade yourself now that online courses are available and recognized and CCNE Accredited.
While some people are wary about shopping online – which I don’t blame them at all – the spouse and I had been shopping online for years now. In fact, i do find shopping online so much easier – I buy all sorts of stuff online – from Etsy handmade handbags – to stuff for skin care and and even read that hgh supplements are available online too. Pretty cool – that one can find just about everything and anything online. It’s pretty awesome ! but make sure you don’t get scam when you are doing it – shopping. Be smart and if you don’t know what you are supposed to do – make sure you leave a comment and ask me all about it.
It’s a good thing the spouse don’t like any sport games – else we could be having quite long nights playing with boring game and having them ask their friends about m drol . Now if he would have asked me nicely – I could have told him – but since he chose his best friend to ask – I won’t say a thing. But we all know how this supplement works right? looks like taking this can make one muscles grow stronger and not just muscles leaner ones. Now if my ex boyfriends can look like that after taking m drol – sure – I’ll take him anytime.
Some customers of ours just love the netbooks and every time we have a used one come along – it sure doesn’t take long to resell them. I wouldn’t mind bringing a netbook with me when i am traveling for pleasure – but if it is for business – than i wouldn’t be able to survive just with a netbook – I would definitely need a regular laptop – because I typed so much. Why for traveling? because you just need to stay connected with family and friends and also the office – so yes! netbook is light and small – so it’s definitely what i would go for. Netbooks are very cheap too – new ones are less than $300 when they are on sale – and you can easily get a previously used one – at half its price. What about you? do you like a netbook or a laptop?
So I sent the spouse to get some new bills for Chinese New Year – after all it is the tradition back home – but the spouse came back and said that banking jobs must be much easier here in the West than in Asia – for they have nothing and won’t even offer help. Oh well! i guess it’s just the bank here that don’t practice it but I’m guessing if they do have a Asian community – the bank would do the new bills for Chinese New Year. So if you are looking for an easy banking job – you should go to a place where there isn’t an Asian community – no demands for extra work i hear.
The spouse is into the “feng shui” thing and for those out there who don’t know what the hell I am talking about – it’s a chinese practice of wind and water. So when we started our business – the spouse would by fountains to be placed at home and at the store but one thing she had forgotten to to constantly keep the water clean in the fountain. Maybe that was the reason why we didn’t do good at the store a few years ago? so when we rid the fountain at the store and bought a new one – we were told about the water thing – so now – the store is definitely doing better. Is it really the magic of that fountain – or did it business turn around just because we are the longest standing store for movies/video and computer repairs? I can’t answer you that – but if it works and make the spouse happy – she can buy as many fountains as she wants.
This year – we need to make some changes with the store’s POS systems because of the requirement to chip all debit and credit cards terminal at our store – we felt that we should take this opportunity to change and get new POS system. With a barcode scanner – and safety tag on our games – it would make it harder for someone to just walk out with a game or movie without paying for them. Plus the credit card terminal – will be upgraded at the same time – thus making it easier for us to learn how to work the POS system and the new credit card terminal together. But almost 12 yrs in business – it is about time to upgrade the store – the glass cabinets are still another option we are looking at.
We’ve been hearing for a long time about Google Chrome OS for laptops – and apparently it is going to happen sooner than I had expected. I didn’t really want to write about this – because a few days ago – i read that Google was going into e books too! So Google wants to have it all it seems? or own the electronic market? But don’t get too happy yet – for those who love Lord Google because at this beta stage – you can only get it if you are in cahoot with them – hahahah!! nah ! honestly only friends and family of google it seems can get it. The production of the OS is low – at 65,000 copies only this time round – one would think that Google can afford to have more copies to give out to the ordinary people like us – but nope! anyhow – don’t expect too much of it right now – for i read that even the executive don’t know what to expect or have a clear idea on what the OS is all about. JOY! But it is definitely another way that Google will try and make money – that’s for sure !
