Gadgets For Weight Loss

By | February 23, 2011

Lazy people like yours truly look for ways to lose the fats and weight without having to do anything – and one of the latest gadget that is currently in town is this t-zone vibration.  Does it work?  I really don’t know – some people swears by it – but a friend/customer who paid close to $3000 for this – didn’t seems to have lost anything – even though she said that it was a good machine – so how good it is – i really can’t see.  Then of course, we have the abdominal cuts that is said to help fight your bad fats – but does it work ?   Again I don’t really know – we have 2 side of the story to every thing in the market.  But i supposed it depends on the person themselves – some people are so motivated that they make it work for them without knowing that there were other factors to helping them lose the weight.  Now if anyone has anything that works for real – please drop me a message – I want to lose weight – SERIOUSLY!

Very Asia Ships To Canada!

By | January 17, 2011

Very Asia is an online grocery store – that sells Asian food – like noodles, asian paste and all sorts of Asian snacks and drinks.  For the longest time – it did not shipped to Canada – but now it does – what a surprised.  So we checked it out – but be prepared – because shipping can kill.  But if you have an Asian spouse who misses home – you really won’t mind spending any amount just to keep her happy eh.

Bad Food – Package Alert

By | January 11, 2011

A plastic package that can inform you when the food is turning bad – now that is something i will be getting once they are out in the market because I always put them in a zip lock bag and can’t remember when I put them in – and don’t know if they are good or bad.  The spouse always tells me to smell it – but it doesn’t mean that if it doesn’t smell it is not bad.

Looks like a University in Glasgow is developing this plastic to cut down on unnecessary food wastage and also to improve on food safety.  This intelligent plastic will change colors when the food is about to lose it freshness and also tells you when your food is badly refrigerated.  I bet the spouse can see my many flaws in the kitchen now.   But safety comes first and with kids at home and visiting – one cannot be too careful.  I look forward to seeing this product on our shelves soon.

Pomegranate In A Container

By | December 30, 2010

I came across this in our local supermarket and thought about how someone I know would be delighted to get this instead of having to peel each seed out on his own – so time consuming but he did do it then.  At $5.99 – I think it is a wee bit expensive especially when we can get this – back home in Asia for free.  I never eat them raw since I was a kid – but there are people here who loves them.  And I see that POM is doing a great job promoting pomegranate.   Pomegranate are not sweet at all – as far as I can remember – in fact they are quite sourish.  So for the life of me – i can’t understand why anyone would like them – hahahah!! But one’s man meat is another man’s poison eh.

The Season Of Eating

By | November 18, 2010

Yes! it’s that time of the year again – the chocolates, the fruit cakes and even hot chocolates are given free around town.  Time to get some weight loss pills before I start eating all the goodies.  Love the food, love the goodwill during the Christmas season but hate the fat and hate the putting on weight process.   And Christmas only comes once a year and it’s the time to celebrate – so everyone – choose to eat but exercise – get some good weight loss pills after Christmas and then lose the weight.  But that’s only my opinion – what about you?  are you that type who absolutely don’t care or the type who refuses to eat and stay grouchy like the grinch?

Canadian Ice Wine

By | September 16, 2010

Many years ago – a friend who had sent some stuff from Asia to the wife had said that I could bring her back some Canadian Ice Wine – for payment for the food stuff for the wife.  I don’t really drink a lot of wine – so i didn’t know what it taste like.  Last week – a customer had brought a few bottles of it for us to try out.  And I must say i do like it a lot – even the wife who isn’t a wine drinker – loved the lychee and honey taste – very fruity she said and smooth.  I checked our local liquor store and found out that a bottle of this wine is about $45 – not cheap at all but yes – for Christmas – I’m thinking of getting some for the in-laws.
