Prank Calls On Live Radio

By jewelminer | August 11, 2010

Listen to the talk show - and you will know what i mean - it’s a horror !!  some said that this is just a hoax but others said this is for real.  I don’t know if it is or not - but if i were the wife - i would definitely be upset to find my spouse cheating on me on live radio.  What is your take on it?

Funny Stuff at Something Awful

By jewelminer | June 23, 2008

I first started frequenting somethingawful.com because of their Photoshop Phriday series. Every week a photoshop thread is chosen from their forums to bask in the glory of the front page. The topics have been widely varied, going from as mundane as retouched warning signs, to as complex as joining 2 different animals together to form a new one. The work done by some of these goons is truly amazing, I mean holy crap just check out this Owlcat from Animal Anomolies 6.

Murphy’s Law

By jewelminer | June 18, 2008

Murphy’s Laws have always been a great source of entertainment for me and now I’ve found the perfect source online. Murphy’s Laws cover all facets of life whether you’re a cop or a doctor, hell even a toddler too young for school is completely covered by the law of Murphy. It all comes down to one basic tenet that started it all, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and at the worst possible time. In other words, life sucks, get used to it and have fun while it lasts.

The Onion

By jewelminer | June 12, 2008

One of the funniest movies I’ve seen recently isn’t even really a movie, it’s just a bunch of comedy sketches thrown together similar to SNL or The Kids in the Hall. The Onion Movie, based on theonion.com and self-billed as America’s Finest News Source. It may not be ‘real’ news, but damn if it isn’t funny and entertaining. ‘Real’ news can be pretty depressing, especially in a world where a Bush holds so much power, so myself, I prefer to stick to the comedy side of things. If you’re in need of a laugh check it out as soon as possible!

Zero Punctuation

By jewelminer | May 22, 2008

Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation fame (named because of the speed at which he talks in his reviews) has done some of the best game critiques I’ve ever seen. Funny as hell and typically dead-on, I wouldn’t call them reviews since he doesn’t give them a score, he typically just talks about a game he’s played and the things he likes (or normally dislikes) about it. This week he went for the retro approach and talked about Painkiller, a game that came out several years ago. I never got around to playing it back then, but after seeing what he had to say about it, I’m going to try and pick up a copy soon. The videos aren’t work or kid safe due to a bit of swearing. New videos are posted every Wednesday at the Escapist Magazine.

Organized Crime

By jewelminer | May 17, 2008

I had a good laugh at this one because it’s so true in the sense that the big one is using the little ones as a distraction. A similar thing used to happen at a store I worked for a few years back. This guy in his early 20’s would come in with a couple of little kids, age 6 or 7 maybe. He would stand at the counter asking me questions, to keep me distracted, while the kids would run around the store trying to steal things. Had to keep a real close eye on all of ‘em. Here in Canada at least, the young offenders act protects the little buggers, since the older guy knows he’s old enough to do time if he gets caught, but the kids won’t even get a slap on the wrist.

LED Pixel Art, Live!

By jewelminer | May 9, 2008

Here’s what I was hoping for when I saw that custom road sign thingie. This guy has an LED sign in his house (dorm?) that people can actually change via the internet. There’s some swearing of course, and occasionally some racism, but what can you expect from the internet masses. If you’re easily offended I don’t recommend clicking the picture.

He’ll be Killing You Soon

By jewelminer | May 6, 2008

The ask a ninja videos are among some of the funniest vids I’ve seen on the internet so far. I especially like the ‘omni’ episodes where he answers a bunch of questions from different people rather than just answering one for an entire episode. It’s some good stuff!

Special Dead

By jewelminer | May 3, 2008

What do you do during a time when the movie-going public is being flooded with zombie movies? If you’re Lazy Ghost Films you go ahead and make another zombie movie! But with a twist of course, Special Dead is the tale of a zombie infestation at a summer camp. A summer camp for mentally handicapped individuals. Heralded as being both the most offensive and funniest zombie movie ever it looks like something I’ve just gotta see for myself. I’m sure the trailer alone offends enough people as it is, it’s hilarious! Special Dead is available to purchase from amazon but I think I’ll just try to rent it somewhere instead.

By jewelminer | April 14, 2008

Lil’ Georgie Bush, the man the whole world loves to hate. Ever wonder what his email inbox would look like? Well, wonder no more for here’s a glimpse into what the leader of the free world has to deal with on a daily basis. Yeah it’s a joke but it’s a good one, enjoy and click for the full thing.
