Hug A Coke Machine

By | April 16, 2012

Yup ! you don’t have to have money to get a can of coke from this machine.  Looks like the students at the University of Singapore will be having so much fun hugging this huge coke machine for a can of coke.  Advertising gimmick from Ogilvy & Mather – and it’s pretty funny and it did work -  I found the video funny and intriguing – don’t you?

Cookie Elevator WallPaper

By | April 14, 2012

Truthfully, I don’t know how this would work – nor do I think anyone would lick the cookies off the wall – coz’ it would be really gross – but this is the advertising gimmick for McVitie’s, a baked goods company in the UK.

But no worries, apparently, once the cookie is licked – it is removed by the bellboy.   So it’s not really that gross afterall.

So go ahead and lick away – but I doubt the adults would – guess maybe the kids wouldn’t mind at all eh.

By | April 10, 2012

A business card that would definitely bring the message across and deem you as a very smart businessman.  The above business card obviously belongs to a plastic surgeon – and how clever is he or the person who made the cards for him – don’t you think?  Dr Hajnal Kiprov – you sure are a smart man – now to find where Dr Hajnal Kiprov is.

And then there is lights …

Heheh!  corny I know but Nook the e reader from Barnes and Nobles brings you the new Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight that will enable you and I to read in the dark and not needing to turn on a bed lamp thus disturbing a light sleeper of a partner next to you – or your child whom you are nursing.  So how much more will this cost you? $139 and first shipment out in May 2012 – so if you are looking for a e reader and can’t decide because of not being able to read in the dark – well, here’s your solution.

High School Class Rings

By | March 31, 2012

Everyone is getting their order in for their high school class rings and the cousins had some design class ring that they want to buy this year.   I don’t remember buying class rings during high school except for our last year of school – but now they have a class ring for every class you are in for high school.  I guess it’s not a bad idea if you had an exceptionally good year – and I think they do some fund raising with the class rings as well if I am not wrong – like get a certain percentage of it for their school depending on the volume bought. I bought my class ring when I was done college and university – the one for my university one was especially memorable since it reminded me of my accomplishment when I was in the university and finished it.   So if my kid goes to high school in the future – I would get her one too.

Hey Luggages

By | March 29, 2012

Love the colors of Hey luggage plus loved the wheels.  I also loved that there is a specific place to keep your laptop and of course, as you can see – they are really sturdy.  Prices ranges from $70 right up to $240 for the set.  Now if you are going for a short weekend or an overnight trip – one is great but if you are going for a week – or more than I would have to advice you to bring more than one luggage.  The interior really don’t look like it can hold a lot – and for the women at home – it’s definitely a no- no.  But if you buy them from FAB.com today – they are on sale – alternatively – you can check out Heys.ca – there is a Disney luggage for kid that i’m eying on for only $49/

The X-Case is one of the world’s lightest carry-ons, and is the maximum allowable carry-on size for most airlines. Zipping all the way around offers plenty of room inside, and the single-tube push-button telescoping handle and in-line wheels make this bag an easy rider. A coordinating fully-lined interior has cross straps, a built-in divider and mesh pocket to hold contents in place and reduce wrinkling.

Honda Shadow Spirit

By | March 28, 2012

Found online for sale a 2006 750 Honda Shadow Spirit and fell in love with it.  Looks like in perfect condition and also well taken care of – and it’s going for $5300 – don’t know if it is negotiable or not.  Would love to buy it to go with the Alpinestars Jacket that the spouse had given me for Christmas if I didn’t have to do major renovation at home this year.  But for those out there who is thinking of getting a bike for this spring/summer – this is the one I would go for.  Many modifications done as you can see – and I loved the low seat because it makes it easy to ride on.  The bike has the Hardchrome exhaust and is very lightweight – a biker’s dream bike – or mine at least.

Pink Beanbag Chair

By | March 25, 2012

We were looking for a pink beanbag last month but couldn’t find one that we liked for the kid.  Well, not until we saw this on FAB for $161.  We loved the color and of course the arm rest.  I know my kid would love it but the spouse wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money – but I’m buying it anyway – after all, didn’t someone say – you pay for what you get?  The pink bean bag chair is by Present Time.  Check out Fab.com for this deal – the chair original cost is $277.

And while you are over there – check out this cute looking tree coat hanger – reminds you of Jack and the beanstalk doesn’t it and it’s really cheap – only at $48! gotta get it now.

High School In Canada

By | March 20, 2012

While education is free in Canada, there is a lot of fund raising going on all year round, not only for class trips but also for things like lab ovens and other equipments for the students.   My daughter who is only in Grade 2 had to raise funds for class projectors and other things for the school, so when she goes to high school, I figured they would be asked to raise money for iPads and more equipments. So for those who thinks that migrating to Canada is the best thing – you might want to think of the time you will have to spare for fund raising for your kid’s school.  Of course, you can argue and say, no I just won’t participate – but really?  can you as a responsible parent not do anything ?  I can’t !  and neither would the spouse, so even though my kid isn’t in high school yet, we are still giving money to the high school by donating gifts so that they can auction it off.
