We don’t really have a music store around town - and the one that we have it’s pretty small - so thank God for internet where one can get just about any musical instrument that you want - like the alvarez guitar that I’ve been eying on for a long time now. I have a fender as you can see on the top - so if anyone is interested in trading - I really won’t mind trading. The Alvarez guitar is about the same price of the Fender that I have and if I’m into classical - actually the spouse wants to take up classical - so I’m getting one for her - and since I’m not using the Fender - I’m selling that one online too. With free shipping, that’s a bonus for anyone who wants to buy online, most times when I get something online - I don’t have to consider it because the shipping already saved me a lot of moeny.
As parents we are always looking for cool stuff for our kids and this OFFI’s MyPet Lamps collection is a great gift for those endless baby showers yo8u have to attend. This lamp is friendly at night and gives out a soft light to help your child dose off at night. And if your kids are creative - give them a washable marker and they can create their own design on the lamp for their room. Lamps from OFFI do not come cheap - but check them out at FAB for half the price. $37 is a cool price to pay for a baby shower.
We have places around town that sells swim wear, hockey wear and for various sports around town but not those you need for a kid when they take up horse riding lessons. There isn’t a horse equipment store nearby and one has to drive 4 hrs to get to the city or may 3.5hrs if you drive really fast. So when the kid took up horse riding last year - we were left with little choice but to search for the clothing, boots and everything we needed online.
We do have a horse riding ranch but they don’t really carry a lot of things there and had to be ordered online too - so I figured if I were to order them myself - wouldn’t it be cheaper? So yes, we did just that - search for the horse equipment, riding apparel and also horse tack and found some really good prices for Breeches, Jodhpurs and Jeans for the kids. Love the riding helmet we bought for both kids, they looked absolutely delightful.
For those who have kids - I’m sure you’ve heard of Melissa and Doug - for they produces educational toys for kids and i’ll have to say that things you buy from Melissa and Doug - they really can stimulate your kids and they are quality stuff. My daughter received a drawing/coloring book by Melissa and Doug from a friend this Christmas and you can see the quality is really different from the dollar store coloring book and those from other store. It even teaches my daughter how to trace and how to do proper coloring. So this City Ramp Racing set is not just your ordinary boy toy - kids gets to learn to build their racing tracks - plus all the colors on the ramp would certainly fascinate your child for quite a few hours. So if you like stimulating toys - don’t buy dollar store toys please.
Since Valentine’s Day is just round the corner - I figured I would share some of the best Valentine’s Gift I’ve found on the net to share with you. We thought it would be a great start of the year to get a new mattress for the new year - maybe a memory foam mattress this time. Why? because they say - the form mattress molds to the shape of your body - thus giving you better support and circulation. It reduces the stress on y our body - giving you a better night’s rest. Now everyone can use a good night sleep right? I’ve been having problems with my mattress for the last few months - so any mattress at this point of time would be a good change.
For those who thinks their pet are lazy - and want to make them work for their food - this Akikiou Interactive Dog feeder is said to make your pets eat slower and think of getting their food from the many tiny boxes intact with food. Said to help with your pets digestive systems since they are slowed down and also stimulate them intellectually. For $15 - I’m sure pet lovers would get them from FAB now. Now I would have loved to own this bunch of vintage cameras had I known they were on sale. Not that many would work now - but it’s pretty cool to display these vintage cameras at our store. For $300 I could definitely afford to get them - and would be a real cool collection. Alas, they were sold out when I saw them! darn! just my luck!
The spouse told me that she wanted to go tint her eyelashes in which I asked her what eyelashes? because her eyelashes are so short - you could hardly see it - so if she went for the tinting would it make a difference? In which she got upset - because I was being honest - so she wants to look for eyelash growth products to prove me wrong and make me regret for saying my mind. So for those who don’t want to get smack by the spouse - the next time the spouse tells you she wants to do anything to her face - or facial hair -just nod and say - yes dear. Else you are going to be like me - ending up looking for eyelash growth products every time you go shopping with her. JOY!
